Have pity on me, have pity on me, at least you my friends… (Job 19:21)
Today’s Rosary Decade & Intention
SUNDAY — The Resurrection (For the Most Abandoned Souls)

Intention:  For the most abandoned souls in Purgatory.

Mystery:  The Resurrection

Reflection:
On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead, conquering sin, darkness, and the finality of the grave. His glorified Body is the promise and pledge of our own resurrection and of the life prepared for all who die in His grace.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we contemplate Christ rising in radiant glory, we remember the souls who long for that same dawn—the Holy Souls still being purified, especially the one most forgotten and without anyone to pray for them. May the light of the Resurrection reach into the depths of their longing and draw them swiftly into the joy of heaven.

Our Father, who art in heaven…

10 Hail Marys
Hail Mary…

Fatima Decade Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

Sunday Eternity Prayer for the Holy Souls
O Lord God omnipotent, I ask You by the Precious Blood which Your divine Son, Jesus, shed in the Garden, deliver the souls in purgatory, and especially that one which is the most forsaken of all, and bring it into Your glory, where it may praise and bless You forever. Amen.

Eternal Rest
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

MONDAY — The Annunciation (For the Souls Nearest Heaven)

Intention:
The souls nearest heaven.

Mystery:
The Annunciation

Reflection:
God sends the angel Gabriel to Mary with a message that will change eternity: “Hail, full of grace.” In her humble “yes,” heaven touches earth and the Word becomes flesh. Mary’s surrender opens the way for salvation.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we contemplate Mary welcoming God’s will with perfect love, we remember the soul closest to the gates of heaven — the one awaiting only a final flame of purification. May Mary, full of grace, draw this soul swiftly into the joy of God’s presence.

TUESDAY – The Crowning with Thorns (For Souls in Greatest Torment)

Intention:

The soul in greatest torment

Mystery:

The Crowning with Thorns

Reflection on the Mystery:
Jesus is cruelly mocked as King, crowned with thorns, and struck again and again. He accepts this humiliation in silence, offering His suffering for our redemption and healing of human pride.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we meditate on His bitter crowning with thorns, we remember the Holy Souls who undergo purification with longing and love. Today we especially hold close the soul in the greatest torment, asking Christ’s mercy to relieve its suffering and hasten its union with Him.

Amen.

WEDNESDAY – The Assumption (For Souls Richest in Merit)

Intention:

The souls richest in merit

Mystery:

The Assumption

Reflection on the Mystery:
In the Assumption, Mary is taken body and soul into heavenly glory—the perfect fulfillment of a life lived entirely for God. Her Assumption reveals our own destiny: to be raised, restored, and welcomed into the fullness of God’s presence.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we honor Mary’s entrance into glory, we remember the Holy Souls who long for that same union. Today we pray especially for the souls richest in merit, the ones closest to entering God’s embrace, that they may quickly receive the joy prepared for it.

Amen.

THURSDAY – Institution of the Eucharist (For Souls Most Devoted to the Eucharist)

Intention:  The souls most devoted to the Eucharist

Mystery:  The Institution of the Eucharist

Reflection on the Mystery:
At the Last Supper, Jesus gives Himself entirely—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—establishing the Eucharist as the perpetual gift of His presence and the nourishment of His people. In this mystery, love becomes food, sacrifice becomes communion, and Christ remains with us until the end of time.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we contemplate this mystery of infinite love, we remember the Holy Souls who long for full union with Christ. Today we pray especially for the soul most devoted to the Eucharist, the one who cherished this sacrament on earth and now awaits the eternal banquet of heaven.

Thursday Prayer for the Holy Souls:   O Lord God omnipotent, I ask You by the Precious Body and Blood of Your divine Son, Jesus, which He Himself on the night before His passion gave as food and drink to His beloved Apostles and bequeathed to His holy Church the perpetual Sacrifice and life-giving nourishment of His faithful people, deliver the souls in Purgatory, but most of all, that soul which was most devoted to this mystery of infinite love, in order that it may praise You together with Your divine Son and the Holy Spirit in Your glory forever. Amen.

FRIDAY – The Crucifixion (For Souls I am Most Bound to Pray For)

Intention: The souls I am most bound to pray for.

Mystery: The Crucifixion

Reflection on the Mystery:
On Calvary, Jesus stretches out His arms in total surrender, offering His life for the salvation of the world. In His final breath—“Father, into Thy hands…”—He entrusts everything to the Father’s mercy. This mystery reveals the depth of Christ’s love and the price of our redemption.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we gaze upon the Crucified Christ, we remember the Holy Souls who rely on the prayers of the living for their purification. Today we lift up the soul we are most bound to pray for—by family ties, friendship, responsibility, or providential connection—asking that nothing in us delay its entrance into God’s glory.

Our Father…

Amen.

SATURDAY: The Nativity (For Souls Most Devoted to Mary)

Intention: The soul most devoted to Mary

Mystery:  The Nativity

Reflection on the Mystery:
At the Nativity, Christ enters the world as a helpless Infant, embraced by Mary and Joseph, bringing light and hope to all humanity. This mystery reminds us of God’s humility and the tender love of Mary, who cradled the Savior and guided Him in His early days.

Bridge to the Holy Souls:
As we reflect on this holy birth, we remember the Holy Souls who seek the warmth of God’s love. Today we pray especially for the soul most devoted to Mary, asking that it may quickly enter heaven, praising God eternally in union with His Blessed Mother.

Amen.

Act of Mercy for Souls Suffering in Purgatory

Immaculate Mary, Mother of Mercy, who saw the sacred body of Your beloved Son raised on the Cross, looked at the soil soaked with His Blood, and were present at His cruel death, we offer you, most Holy Mother, the souls suffering in purgatory, and we beg you to be so kind as to look upon them with your merciful eyes and ask for their release from their torments. In order to receive your forgiveness, O Immaculate Mother, we sincerely and heartily forgive all those who have insulted us, and through your intercession, we beg Jesus to grant them every goodness, grace, and blessing in exchange for the wrong they did to us or wished upon us. Through your hands, O Holy Virgin, we offer to the Lord this act of love, asking His mercy for the souls that are being purged. Amen.

De Profundis (Psalm 130)

Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication. If Thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand it? For with Thee there is mercy; and by reason of Thy law I have waited on Thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on His word: my soul hath hoped in the Lord. From the morning watch even until night: let Israel hope in the Lord. For with the Lord there is mercy; and with Him plentiful redemption. And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Eternal Rest (Requiem Æternam)

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Fatima Decade Prayer (O My Jesus)

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Prayer of St Gertrude

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and family, and in particular for the souls for whom I am specially bound to pray. Amen.

The Mater Dolorosa

Words Spoken by our Blessed Mother of Sorrows to Her Divine Son when He was taken down from the cross and placed into Her arm.

O Font overflowing with truth, how wearied Your countenance.
O Wise Physician of human souls, how silent You remain.
O Splendor of Eternal Light, how lifeless You are.
O Sincere Affection how deformed Your once beautiful face has become.
O Most High Divinity, in what poverty You show Yourself.
O Love of my heart, how immense is Your Goodness.
O Joy everlasting, O Love of my heart, how excessive must have been Your grief.
My Dear Jesus, Who is one with the Father and Holy Spirit, being one and the same Divine Nature, have pity on all living creatures, and especially for the suffering souls in Purgatory. Amen

Five Apostle Creeds
One Hail Holy Queen
One Our Father, Hail Mary, Gloria

Eternal Rest grant unto them and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.

We adore thee, Piteous Cross, adorned with the delicate members and Precious Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We adore Thee, O God, nailed to the cross who bleed for love of us.

My Jesus, by the sorrows Thou didst suffer in Thine agony in the Garden, in Thy scourging and crowning with thorns, on the way to Calvary, in Thy Crucifixion and Death, have mercy on the souls in Purgatory, and especially on those that are most forsaken; do Thou deliver them from the terrible torments they endure; call them and admit them to Thy most sweet embrace in paradise. Amen.
