“I love these words in today’s scripture reading: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”(Romans 8:38-39). They’re winning words that directly inspired the name of this website: Spinning for Jesus. To me, they capture the idea of moving toward victory by intentionally turning our hearts and lives toward God, just as He is always moving for us.
In a world that constantly pulls our attention toward fear, doubt, and distraction, these verses anchor us in a simple, unshakable truth: God is on our side. So much in our culture tries to spin our focus away from what is good, holy, and true. Yet the ultimate Spin never changes: God is for us.
Too often, we find ourselves standing with those on the losing side of the battle—those against God—whether out of habit, distraction, or doubt. Today’s reading invites us to turn around. Stand with Him. Be for God. Move toward the One whose promise conquers all:
“Nothing—neither death nor life, angels nor powers, the present or the future—can separate us from His love” (Romans 8:38–39).
Let that sink in again: God’s love conquers all. So run for Him—be indomitable!
